Assisted living and memory care in Le Sueur, MN105 Plum Run507-665-2499

Le Sueur, Minnesota

A place that feels like home, with care built in

French Meadow Place is a small assisted living and memory care community in the Minnesota River valley. Private apartments, a staff that knows every resident by name, and someone in the building day and night.

24/7

Staff in the building around the clock, and a nurse on call at every hour.

Two

Kinds of care under one roof: assisted living and memory care.

One

Building, on a quiet street, small enough that nobody is a stranger.

Welcome

Built like a house, not a facility

Walk in and you are in a two-story lobby with a wooden staircase, deep sofas and a brick fireplace around the corner. It was designed to feel like someone’s home, because it is.

Residents keep their own routines. Coffee when they want it, a chair by the window, a pet with approval, a salon down the hall for Friday hair appointments.

Behind the comfort is real care. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, every resident has a personalized call light, and the building uses fall-prevention technology so staff can be there fast.

Care

Care that grows with you, under one roof

Needs change. When assisted living and memory care share a building, a change in care never means a change of address, new faces, or a new town.

Assisted living

A private studio with help where it is useful: medications, bathing and dressing, meals, getting to appointments. As much independence as each person wants, with support close by.

Life here

Good meals, good company, fresh air

Meals are served in a dining room with fresh flowers on the tables and a piano in the corner. Social and wellness programs run through the week, and nobody pays extra to join in.

When the weather is kind there is a covered patio, raised garden beds for anyone who likes to dig, and protected outdoor space to sit in the sun.

The people

Small enough to know everyone

French Meadow Place is one building, not a campus. The same faces are at the front desk, in the dining room and in the hallway at night. Families get to know the staff, and the staff get to know what each resident likes for breakfast.

Julia Walker runs the community day to day. Meagan McCormick is the first person most families talk to, and she stays with you from the first call through move-in.

Questions families ask first

What is the difference between assisted living and memory care here?

Assisted living is a private apartment with help where it is useful: medications, bathing and dressing, meals, appointments. Memory care is for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, with monitored access, protected outdoor space and more frequent check-ins. Both are in the same building, so a change in care never means a move to a new place.

Is memory care licensed here?

Minnesota requires an Assisted Living Facility with Dementia Care license for secured memory care. You can look up our license and inspection results at the Minnesota Department of Health.

Can my mom or dad bring a pet?

Pets are welcome with approval. Tell us about the animal when you tour and we will walk you through what approval involves.

Do you offer short stays?

Yes. Respite stays of up to 30 days are available in both assisted living and memory care. They are useful after a hospital stay, while a family caregiver travels, or as a way to try the community before deciding.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the apartment, the level of care and the meal plan. We publish all of it on the pricing page so you can see a full monthly number before you ever pick up the phone.
